Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen - Islands Walkthrough (part 2)
Begin by owning at least 60 Pokémon species and becoming the Pokémon League Champion. Then visit Professor Oak’s lab in Pallet Town.
Professor Oak had heard reports of Pokémon not seen in the Kanto region and wants you to investigate this, as he is too old to do it himself. Gary had heard what Oak was saying as well. As Oak doesn’t want Gary left out, you and Gary both receive upgrades to your Pokédex that allow you to track more Pokémon.
After doing so, fly to Vermilion City and take the ferry to One Island.
Once in One Island, visit the Pokémon Center and talk to Celio, the young man by the big machine. This is the Network Communication Machine that allows trades to occur from far away. But Celio says that a special gemstone is required in order for it to work; it may be located somewhere on this island. Leave the Pokémon Center, and return to Mt. Ember.
Go east, and north, and you will see a strange sight: two members of Team Rocket on the mountain. (They give a password which becomes important later.) Talk to each of them to begin a battle. After both end, the members disappear. Enter the hole in front of you now.
Then just make your way through. You will need to push boulders to do this. The path will eventually split in two. The path on the left leads to a room filled with several inscriptions in a code called Braille. Beyond this room is a Ruby and a Braille inscription, apparently inconsequential.
The path on the right is a shortcut out of the cave. Now that you’re out, return to the Pokémon Center and talk to Celio. You then hand him the Ruby. Celio then says to find another gem needed for the machine, which can appear anywhere in the Sevii Islands. You receive a Rainbow Pass in exchange for the Tri-Pass and another part of the Town Map.
Take the ferry to Three Island. Enter the cave known as the Three Isle Path. The man inside will give you a Nugget.
Now, take the ferry to Four Island. Once there you meet Gary, who will say something about Pokémon Eggs and leave. This island has a daycare center that allows you to care for two Pokémon at a time. They say that Eggs emerge from the daycare every now and then.
Find the stairway east of the dock, go a little north, and surf on the water. Enter the hole leading to the Icefall Cave. As you navigate you will notice several ice tiles. The second time you walk on an ice tile, you will fall to the hole below. Be sure to pick up HM07 (Waterfall) in this cave.
Once you find the HM, teach Waterfall to a Pokémon, find the waterfall on the cave and climb up it. Take the ladder, and enter the hole nearby. You will encounter Lorelei of the Elite Four stopping several Team Rocket members from a poaching scheme. A battle begins with one of them. After the battle ends, the members leave. Leave the Icefall Cave now.
Take the ferry to Six Island. ... Inspect the door. They’re Braille dots reading "CUT". Use Cut in front of the door. You have now entered the Dotted Hole. Fall through the hole. Read the Braille: "UP". Fall through the top hole. The inscriptions that follow tell you which hole to choose. At the end you will find the Sapphire, and a scientist. He takes the Sapphire, but gives an important password. You may read the inscription in this room.
Leave the Dotted Hole and take the ferry to Five Island.
Once there enter the area of grass and trees known as the Five Island Meadow. Along the way you’ll meet several members of Team Rocket, apparently. At the end of the meadow is a building. Stand at the door, and you enter the two passwords you had heard. You are now inside the Rocket Warehouse.
This room has tiles that toss you in the direction they point to. (Check the map if you’re stuck.) After you defeat the female Rocket member on the east side, she will conveniently change the direction of some force tiles letting you pass through easily. Defeat the other Admin, and all the Rocket members will leave. There still remains the scientist in the last room. Defeat him to get the Sapphire back.
Leave the warehouse, and take the ferry to One Island. Once there, enter the Pokémon Center, heal your Pokémon (if you want), and talk to Celio to give him the Sapphire.
Having placed the Sapphire, Celio can now link to trainers in another Pokémon region called "Hoenn." In other words, trading Pokémon from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire is now possible. Now that your work is done, you may explore the islands if you want.
Take the ferry to Seven Island. Surf north of the island to reach a building called the Trainer Tower. Walk south of the island to navigate the Sevault Canyon. In the Sevault Canyon you may find the entrance to a cave called the Tanoby Key. Push the boulders to the seven marks on the ground and something will shake. Leave the chamber. Further south is a house where you have to "dance the Chansey dance" to heal your Pokémon. (On the table is Lucky Punch.) Leave the house and continue. As the road gets narrower, surf either east or west. These are chambers of the Tanoby ruins. Enter any one of them, explore, and you will find Pokémon called "Unown" in the chambers.
