Pokémon Gold Version, Silver Version, and Crystal Version - Professor Oak’s Rating System
Periodically, log on to Professor Oak’s PC to evaluate your Pokédex progress. He’ll tell you how many Pokémon you’ve seen and caught, and an encouraging message. Following are the possible messages.
Number of Pokémon Caught (at least [this much] Pokémon): Oak’s Rating
- 0: Look for POK��MON in grassy areas!
- 10: Good. I see you understand how to use POK�� BALLS.
- 20: You’re getting good at this. But you have a long way to go.
- 35: You need to fill up the POK��DEX. Catch different kinds of POK��MON!
- 50: You’re trying--I can see that. Your POK��DEX is coming together.
- 65: To evolve, some POK��MON grow, others use the effects of STONES.
- 80: Have you gotten a fishing ROD? You can catch POK��MON by fishing.
- 95: Excellent! You seem to like collecting things!
- 110: Some POK��MON only appear during certain times of the day.
- 130: Your POK��DEX is filling up. Keep up the good work!
- 140: I’m impressed. You’re evolving POK��MON, not just catching them.
- 150: Have you met KURT? His custom BALLS should help.
- 170: Wow. You’ve found more POK��MON than the last POK��DEX research project.
- 185: Are you trading your POK��MON? It’s tough to do this alone!
- 200: Wow! You’ve hit 200! Your POK��DEX is looking great!
- 210: You’ve found so many POK��MON! You’ve really helped my studies!
- 230: Magnificent! You could become a POK��MON professor right now!
- 240: Your POK��DEX is amazing! You’re ready to turn professional!
- 250: Whoa! A perfect POK��DEX! I’ve dreamt about this! Congratulations!
