Gold/Silver Version

TypePowerAccuracyPPEffect Chance (/256)Flags
NORMAL025550g

Effect lasts for three to six turns (random), including the current turn. During effect, on the opposing Pokémon’s attack segment, the opposing Pokémon uses the last move used by the user when the effect began, and the opposing Pokémon chooses that move for use instead of any other move. The opposing Pokémon can switch or run. Fails if the opposing Pokémon had used Encore, Mirror Move, or Struggle, or if affected attack has zero PP. During effect, this attack will fail for both user and the opposing Pokémon. Effect ends when the opposing Pokémon leaves the battle. At the end of each turn, if affected move has zero PP, effect ends. If the opposing Pokémon becomes disobedient during its attack segment, effect ends (no message is displayed).

Flag g: This attack has an accuracy check. BrightPowder and the like can reduce its accuracy.

Ruby/Sapphire Version

Effect lasts for three to six turns, including this turn. If this attack is successful, the target, during its attack segment this turn, uses the last move used by the target when the effect began (the "affected move"), with no particular target, instead of any other move, unless all of its moves can’t be chosen for use. During effect, the target chooses the affected move for use automatically and can’t choose the other moves it has for use. ( The target can switch or run as normal. No obedience check is done for the target during effect.) This attack fails if the affected move is Encore, Mirror Move, or Struggle; if the target doesn’t have affected move; or if affected move has zero PP. During effect, this attack fails against the target. Effect ends when the target leaves the battle . At the beginning of the target’s attack segment and at the end of the turn, if the target doesn’t have affected move, effect ends. At the end of the turn, if affected move has zero PP, effect ends.

Flag b: The target can use Protect or Detect to protect itself from this attack. Flag e: This attack can be used with Mirror Move.

Diamond/Pearl Version

NORMALStatus010050Single exc. userbe

Effect lasts for four to eight turns, including this turn. During effect, the target, during each of its attack segments, uses the last move it used before the effect began, with no particular target, and the target chooses that move for use automatically and can’t choose any other move it has for use. (The target can switch or run as normal.) This attack fails if there is no affected move; the affected move is Encore, Mimic, Mirror Move, Sketch, Struggle, or Transform; if the target doesn’t have affected move; or if affected move has zero PP. During effect, this attack fails against the target. Effect ends when the target leaves the battle. At the end of the turn, if affected move has zero PP, effect ends.

Flag b: The target can use Protect or Detect to protect itself from this attack. Flag e: This attack can be used with Mirror Move.
