Pokédex - Move Data - Pursuit
Gold/Silver Version
Type | Power | Accuracy | PP | Effect Chance (/256) | Flags |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
DARK | 40 | 255 | 20 | 0 | fg |
When the opposing Pokémon switches, if user chose this move for use, user uses this attack with its damage doubled. (This effect doesn’t depend on user having used this attack beforehand. All pre-attack checks, such as sleep, obedience, and confusion, are checked before the attack is used this way, and an accuracy check is done as normal if the attack is used this way. User’s attack segment is not skipped this way.)
Flag g: This attack has an accuracy check. BrightPowder and the like can reduce its accuracy. Flag f: If the user holds a King's Rock or the like, the target has a chance to flinch if this attack succeeds.
Ruby/Sapphire Version
Type | Power | Accuracy | PP | Effect Chance (%) | Range | Flags |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
DARK | 40 | 100 | 20 | 0 | Single exc. user | abe |
When the target switches, if user chose this move for use and the target is one of user’s opposing Pokémon, and if user is not asleep, frozen, or about to skip its attack this turn because it has Truant, user uses this attack against the target with its damage doubled, and user skips its attack this turn. (This effect doesn’t depend on user having used this attack beforehand. Using the attack this way doesn’t change whether user strikes before or after other Pokémon. No accuracy check is done if the attack is used this way.)
Flag a: This is a direct attack (contact move). Flag b: The target can use Protect or Detect to protect itself from this attack. Flag e: This attack can be used with Mirror Move.
Diamond/Pearl Version
Type | Category | Power | Accuracy | PP | Effect Chance (%) | Range | Flags |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
DARK | Physical | 40 | 100 | 20 | 0 | Single exc. user | abe |
When an opposing Pokémon switches out, if user chose this move for use and didn’t take its attack segment or use this attack yet this turn, and is not asleep, frozen, or about to skip its attack this turn because it has Truant, user uses this attack against that opposing Pokémon with its power doubled and skips its attack this turn. (This effect doesn’t depend on user having used this attack beforehand. Can be used this way even if it can’t be used or chosen for use because of an effect and even if the user didn’t choose that Pokémon as its target. Ignores Follow Me if this attack is used this way. If this attack is used this way, no accuracy check is done and user is considered to strike before other Pokémon. If this attack causes the target to faint this way, the new Pokémon at the target’s position enters the battle immediately.)
Flag a: This is a direct attack (contact move). Flag b: The target can use Protect or Detect to protect itself from this attack. Flag e: This attack can be used with Mirror Move.
Black/White Version
Type | Category | Power | Accuracy | PP | Effect Chance (%) | Range | Flags |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
DARK | Physical | 40 | 100 | 20 | 0 | Single exc. user | abe |
When an adjacent opposing Pokémon switches out, if user chose this move for use and didn’t take its attack segment or use this attack yet this turn, and is not [asleep, frozen,] rotated out, under the effect of Sky Drop, [or about to skip its attack this turn because it has Truant], user uses this attack against that opposing Pokémon with its power doubled and skips its attack this turn. (This effect doesn’t depend on user having used this attack beforehand. Can be used this way [even if it can’t be used or chosen for use and] even if the user didn’t choose that Pokémon as its target. Ignores Follow Me/Rage Powder if this attack is used this way. If this attack is used this way, no accuracy check is done and user is considered to strike before other Pokémon. If this attack causes the target to faint this way, the new Pokémon at the target’s position doesn’t enter the battle until the end of the turn.)
Flag a: This is a direct attack (contact move). Flag b: The target can use Protect or Detect to protect itself from this attack. Flag e: This attack can be used with Mirror Move.
