If this attack is successful and the target is holding a Berry, that item is consumed, and if it’s consumed this way, user uses that item if it’s an item that triggers when its holder has a certain amount of HP or PP, or is poisoned, burned, paralyzed, frozen, asleep, or confused (but not Custap Berry), and unless user has Klutz or is under the effect of Embargo. (This effect happens even if the target has Klutz or Multitype, the target has 0 HP, the item’s trigger condition doesn’t hold, or the target is under the effect of Embargo.)

Flag a: This is a direct attack (contact move). Flag b: The target can use Protect or Detect to protect itself from this attack. Flag e: This attack can be used with Mirror Move. Flag f: If the user holds a King's Rock or the like, the target has a chance to flinch if this attack succeeds.
