Pokémon Gold Version, Silver Version, and Crystal Version - Walkthrough - New Bark Town

When you start a new game, you’ll be asked to provide the time of day.
In Pokémon Crystal Version, you’ll also be given the option of playing as a boy or as a girl trainer. |
Then leave the house and go to the big building on the left. This is Professor Elm’s Pokémon Lab. Once inside, Elm asks you to help him in his Pokémon research by taking one of the three Pokémon on the table:
#152 Chikorita (grass)After taking the Pokémon you want, Elm shows you the healing machine, and then gives you his phone number. (Any phone numbers you receive will be added to your Pokégear.)
#155 Cyndaquil (fire)
#158 Totodile (water)
As you leave the lab, Elm’s aide hands you a Potion for your trouble.
In case you haven’t noticed, a boy with red hair is standing at the side of the lab with awe.
After all that’s done, go west to Route 29.
Route 29
Route 29 is where you’ll meet Pokémon for the first time in the game. Just have your Pokémon fight them so it’ll get stronger.Tuscany of Tuesday
On Tuesdays, Tuscany will appear on Route 29. She’ll give you a Pink Bow, which powers up normal-type attacks such as Tackle or Scratch. Have your Pokémon hold this. Tuscany is one of seven siblings that appear all over the place on certain days and give you special items. Throughout this walkthrough they will be pointed out. |
The strange looking tree on this road is called a fruit-bearing tree. Whenever you see a fruit-bearing tree, press A, and you may find a Berry inside.
You’ll soon reach Cherrygrove City.
